Good morning, everyone!I am Liu 8-Sheng, an alumnus of Grade 5 Affiliated High School。It is a great honor to be here today to share with you some stories about the alumni of our Affiliated High School who participated in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in Fuping County, Hebei Province。
The national anthem sung by all our teachers and students just now was born in the war of Resistance against Japan, and the cry he issued inspired countless people with lofty ideals to devote themselves to the great flood of resistance against Japan and salvation。The Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border area was the first anti-Japanese base established by the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the Anti-Japanese War, and its capital was set up in Fuping County。As the core area of the Shanxi-Cha-Hebei border area, Fuping people regardless of men and women, old and young all soldiers, actively engaged in the Anti-Japanese War, the Anti-Japanese War period, when there were only 90,000 Fuping County, but for the anti-Japanese troops sent more than 20,000 soldiers, the county average of every 4 families there are 3 families of men to join the army。During the 8-year War of Resistance, more than 5,000 outstanding sons and daughters in Fuping sacrificed their lives for their country on the battlefield。Their deeds are the lyrics of the national anthem: "With our flesh and blood to build our new Great Wall, the Chinese nation to the most critical time...We are united as one, braving the enemy's gunfire to advance"。
The Maolan Band, which recently performed Olympic songs at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics, is composed of children from Fuping County。Deng Xiaolan, one of the main teachers who trained them, was born in Fuping County in 1943, the most difficult year of the Anti-Japanese War, and was raised by fellow villagers in Malan village until she returned to her parents after the victory。In 2003, Deng retired and returned to Malan village, hoping to do what he could for his second hometown。Seeing that there were no music teachers in rural elementary schools, he began to teach music for free。In the past 18 years, the engineering student who once graduated from Tsinghua University has formed the Malan Village small band, and sent these mountain children to the world's attention on the Olympic stage. Many young students have completely changed their life trajectory because of music。
My father was born in the anti-Japanese base area of Yimeng Mountain, Shandong Province, and was entrusted to his fellow villagers to raise him。Miss Deng is also my aunt. During the Spring Festival in 2012, I followed Miss Deng to Malan Village for the first time. When I entered the village, I saw the poor and dilapidated scene, which made me feel sad!The old area is still very poor。After returning to Beijing, I found a few alumni of the attached school to introduce the situation of Malan Village, and we should do something practical for the people of the old area!
After the university and affiliated high school alumni together for many discussions, carefully designed。In April 2012, the public welfare poverty alleviation project was officially launched。In the twinkling of an eyes, this public welfare project has been ten years, and the comprehensive benefits of agriculture and animal husbandry in the past ten years have been dozens of times higher than before, and the income of many villagers participating in the project has already exceeded the well-off standard。
During the period experienced over and over again failure, each failure is a huge blow to the confidence to continue!Every time we feel discouraged and want to give up, we ask ourselves: Why did we come here to do this？Is it bad to stay in Beijing？It is the Alma mater's "self-improvement, moral commitment" spirit that inspires us。The difficulties and pressure were crushed under the persistence again and again!After ten years of persistence, the project company has grown from a small village-level company at the beginning to a leading agricultural and animal husbandry enterprise in Baoding City and a leading rural revitalization enterprise in Hebei Province, making more contributions to rural revitalization and agricultural upgrading!
Thank the Affiliated High School for casting our correct "three views" from the beginning of our life.。I still remember our sophomore year of high school in Zhoukoudian agricultural labor with President Wan Bangru, Secretary Feng Qingyan in the field picking corn scene, the precious photo is still in the school history museum。It seems that from then on it was decided that we should do something for rural China。
